Bathrooms are an essential and most necessary room to any home. However, most house owners deny the buyers a peek into this room out of fear of losing the deal. Usually, the upkeep of the bathroom speaks volume about the people who live in the house. As a home seller, you should let the prospective buyers into this “necessary” room with delight and set it up with sparkle and shine.

1. Clean the entire bathroom

Clean every nook and corner of the bathroom with a mixture of ammonia or bleach. Do not allow even a hint of dark spot in any part of the bathroom. Once the room sparkles, clean everything in it with a high quality glass cleaner. Scrub deeply, detail the corners and the edges, polish and then fluff and enhance.

2. Color your world

Most bathrooms have white flooring, white tiles and white painted walls. Leaving the bathroom draped in pure white gives it a hospital like feeling. Add some life to the necessary room by adding some colorful props such as bright colored towels, shower curtains, etc. In case if time and money permits, it would be a great idea to introduce a couple of rows of coordinated printed tiles to give the bathroom an elite look. You can also color up your bathroom additionally by adding a few colorful throw rugs, some useful collection of soaps and other toiletries, etc. to add life to the otherwise dull bathroom.

3. Add freshness with plants

Adding some freshly cut flowers in spring clean vases and or some fresh green potted plants to your bathroom brings a whole lot of life and freshness to it. A lovely pot with one lively and full green plant is a sure shot hit among prospective buyers.

4. Aromatic delight

Carefully choose mild floral scents to delight the senses of prospective buyers. Light florals, a hint of rose hip or pine are the best suited scents to add to your freshly washed bath linens.

5. Just before the buyers arrive

Change the towels, remove all the hair off the sink and clean the drains before the guests arrive. Light the potpourri to increase the pleasant scent. Turn on the lights and shine the mirror so that the bathroom smells terrific and sparkles when the prospective buyers come around. Your bathroom should invite your buyers to come and relax in them and not shoo them away.
